Race for the Space is a contest designed to stimulate entrepreneurship in downtown Rochester and revitalize our city. Race for the Space is literally a race for the most prime retail space in downtown Rochester. Attend the BIG finale event and watch as the contestants pitch their business ideas.

Young Entrepreneurs Academy Founder & CEO, Gayle Jagel, makes an exciting announcement to the City of Rochester.

The entrepreneurial team has expanded its offerings beyond youth into an exciting contest that is designed to spur economic development and bring the community together to make local entrepreneurs' dreams come true!

Race for the Space combines "Shark Tank" and "Extreme Home Make-over". Entrepreneurs work together with coaches and industry experts to fine tune their big idea, pitch to a panel of judges, and work in collaboration with community partners and volunteers to build-out the custom retail locations. The new businesses are launched with the entire community on hand to cheer on the winners.
