A mortgage rate buydown is a seller paid temporary reduction of your interest rate.
A 3-2-1 buydown will lower your rate 3% in year 1, 2% in year 2, and 1% in year 3.

Ex. 7.25% interest rate.
Year 1: 4.25%
Year 2: 5.25%
Year 3: 6.25%
Year 4: Fully amortized 7.25% rate

We can use this in a higher rate environment to save you thousands over the life of your loan!
