What ever you believe about yourself it’s true!
Now believe you can win!

Two years ago at Platform Builder Summit, Sharvette💕Marketing Consultant said something that has stayed with me ever since:

“There is money to be had.”

I have anchored myself to that statement.

Over the last five years, I have immersed myself in understanding funding. Not just grants, but loans, Kiva loans, angel investors, venture capital, community lending, strategic partnerships, and other capital opportunities available to entrepreneurs.

What I’ve learned is this:

The problem is rarely that money doesn’t exist.

The problem is often that businesses are not prepared to receive it.

Funding and foundation must work together. If your business isn’t structured correctly, compliant, financially organized, and operationally sound, even if the money comes, the business may not be able to sustain the growth that follows.

I also think many entrepreneurs are experiencing a level of cognitive dissonance. We say, “Nobody has money,” while simultaneously watching people invest in travel, experiences, education, wellness, convenience, and solutions that improve their lives.

The economy is still moving.

People are still spending.

The question becomes: Are we positioning ourselves in front of the people who need what we offer?

As entrepreneurs, our responsibility is to be innovators, problem-solvers, and visionaries. The goal was never to build a business dependent on funding. The goal is to build a business that becomes self-sustaining, profitable, and scalable.

If you’re looking for funding opportunities but also need help making sure your business is structured, compliant, and financially prepared to receive them, let’s talk.

At Financial Fancy, we help entrepreneurs build businesses that are ready for opportunity when it arrives.

Business After Dark is officially 6 years old. 🎙️✨

Six years of honest conversations. Six years of pulling back the curtain on entrepreneurship. Six years of talking about the highs, the lows, the pivots, the lessons, the strategy, the healing, and the part of business people do not always post online.

They say 7 is the number of completion, so as we step into Season 7, it only feels right that Business After Dark becomes my first published book.

Yes, you read that right. 📚

I pitched the concept to two publishers, both loved the idea, and we are officially moving forward with SRS Publishing.

This next chapter is personal, powerful, and very Financial Fancy coded.

Stay tuned for the official drop date and presales. Season 7 is about to hit different.

Entrepreneurship changed what I have capacity for.

The longer I’ve been in business, the less capacity I have for things that cost me money, peace, purpose, or time.

I have less capacity for busy work disguised as strategy.
Less capacity for saying yes when I mean no.
Less capacity for opportunities that don’t align with the vision.
Less capacity for making decisions without looking at the numbers.

But I’ve gained capacity too.

I’ve gained capacity for hard conversations.
For delayed gratification.
For taking calculated risks.
For building something bigger than myself.
For trusting God when the path doesn’t make sense.

Building a business changes you. Not just your bank account. Not just your title. You.

What has entrepreneurship changed your capacity for?

The goal is never virality but impact…..

🚨 Funding Alert 🚨

The opportunities are out there.

The question is: are you prepared when they show up?

This week I found grants and accelerator programs offering anywhere from $4,250 to $100,000+, plus mentorship, cloud credits, investor access, and business growth support for women founders, Black founders, and small business owners.

Too many entrepreneurs spend their time chasing money instead of building a business that attracts it.

Funding readiness looks like:
✔️ Clean books
✔️ A clear growth strategy
✔️ Knowing your numbers
✔️ Understanding how the money will create impact

Because when the application opens, you don’t want to be scrambling for documents. You want to be submitting.

Funding follows preparation.

Drop a 💰 below if you’re applying for grants this year, and make sure you’re on my email list for weekly funding opportunities.
