A well deserved acknowledgment of the work Michael Moore did for the herbalist community throughout his life. This is the first time the Mark Blumenthal Herbal Community Builder Award has been given posthumously, and how fitting to go to the “godfather of western botanical medicine”.

Herbalist Michael Moore (1941-2009) was the founder and creator of Herbs Etc. as well as the founder of the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine.

Catherine Hunziker, president of WishGarden Herbs: “They say some people leave footprints in your life, but Michael Moore? He laid out a whole path forward for me. As a great teacher, Michael masterfully blended ancient plant wisdom with modern science in a way that resonated deeply with me.
