Members of the PCB team attended the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) 2026 REACH Higher Breakfast, where Portage Community Bank was also a proud sponsor! This year’s theme, “Powering Possibility: Green Light to Greatness,” set the tone for an inspiring morning honoring the work of AMHA and its community partners to help children and families build brighter futures. We’re proud to support a community that invests in its neighbors and the possibilities ahead!

Big questions, bright minds, and future bankers! 🏦💚💙

This morning, we welcomed Rootstown Elementary School’s fifth graders to Portage Community Bank for a behind-the-scenes look at how a bank runs! They visited each department, chatted with our staff, and asked thoughtful questions as they explored the world of banking.

Later this month, they’ll put those lessons into action when their very own PCB-sponsored, student-run bank opens at school! From tellers and customer service representatives to greeters and security guards, these fifth graders will be stepping into some important roles.

Their wonderful manners, curiosity, and enthusiasm made our morning! We’re excited to help them discover the value of saving and build money skills they can carry into the future. Let the banking adventures begin! 🎉

This weekend, several team members from PCB gathered together, outside the walls of the bank, and put their problem-solving skills to the test at the Warren PerpleXcity Escape Room Experience!

Ops brought the VOLUME today with the Metalhead escape room.🤘🔥 Team members from IT & Compliance felt the mysterious vibes in the Tiki escape room.🌴☀️ Great team building and even better company.

Yesterday was a full day of community connections for the PCB team! 💚

Gavin from our Portage Community Financial Services office started bright and early at the Ravenna Balloon A-Fair breakfast, where he caught up with Grand Marshall LaJoyce Harris.

Our Kent Office team joined the city’s Dolly Parton Day celebration with coloring pages, information about Dolly, and ways to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Thank you to our friends at United Way of Portage County Ohio for lending us their standup Dolly—she was a hit!

Gavin, Kim and Jim also spent the morning at Windmill Lakes Golf Course for United Way of Portage County’s Emilio Ferraro Memorial Golf Tournament.

From the golf course to the Kent Office, it was a great day to spend time with our neighbors.
