✨ We’ve been quiet lately, not because nothing’s happening, but because everything is and in the midst of it all, Dolly which simply gutted us. 😢

In her honor, today Bluebelle played working girl, hauling this beauty home for a little transformation project. I had delusions of grandeur for this situation, but the budget gave me a talking to and reminded me that crafty makeover can be my “Coat of Many Colors” instead, making magic is kind of our whole thing around here.

Every candle starts the same way here. First, a small ceremony to clear the space. Then intention setting for each one, a whisper of what it’s meant to hold. Then I drop into the magic of the making.

The most sacred part of my week, when I actually get to do it. It’s been far too long since I’ve spent a full day working my cauldron, and today reminded me why I never want to stop.

Are you ready?? 🙌 The taste testers have spoken: Maple Oat Date Nut scones are a WINNER.

Repeat testing has officially been requested… purely for science, obviously, since they can’t buy these yet. 🍂🍁😂

Even better: Bluebelle’s own mechanic, a self-proclaimed scone skeptic, couldn’t resist sneaking the into the box for seconds. His assistant, keeper of all garage secrets, snuck in a phone call just to confirm the verdict herself. Consider the whole crew converted. 🚚🕵️‍♀️

Some missions need to come out of hiding. This one required full documentation. 🎬🕵️‍

Cameras rolling, note cards out, full investigative treatment for not one, but two batches of frosting. Round one was… a crime scene. Straight to the trash it went, no survivors. 💀🥄

Here’s my stance: shelf stable is non-negotiable, but so is delicious. If it’s not yummy, it’s not going anywhere near a taste tester. Standards stay high even when the rules get complicated.

The file’s still open, more investigation required. 🕯️

Mission Biscoff Snickerdoodle: launched. 🕵️‍♀️

Snickerdoodle base, hidden Biscoff filling tucked inside for the surprise factor. Every bite hit exactly the way it was supposed to. 🥰

Field notes for next time: more cinnamon ribbon, top AND bottom. A mission is only as good as the sweet spiced aftertaste. 🌀

Mission Update: the marshmallow topped s’mores cookies are… compromised. 🕵️

Turns out marshmallows now sit in a gray zone under NY’s cottage rules, so until that gets sorted out, these beauties are staying exactly where they belong right now… in my kitchen, for testing and gifting only.

Mission aborted, not mission failed. 🍪

Still worth every gooey bite though. 😮‍💨🍫

Not for sale, just for science (and enjoying around my own home campfire w friends). 🧪🕯️

Mission control, we have a status update. 🕵️‍♀️

Bake one taught us a hard truth: cold chocolate chips do not melt on command. Lesson learned, agent adapted. But the chewy texture? Heavenly. Only a cookie can deliver that payoff.

Enter the field upgrade: fresh Hershey squares, pressed in hot off the oven, Maldon salt standing guard on top. 🧂

A rogue timer nearly took us out (they came out a little darker than planned)… but somehow that just made the brown butter flavor hit harder. Happy accidents, agent’s honor.

Cut it open and just… 😮‍💨🍫
