The City is still confident that Thalhimer will be able to complete the project due to Thalhimer’s track record of success developing projects throughout Richmond. With Thalhimer now solely responsible for raising the capital to fund the initial costs of the first phase of the development, they will leverage their support from local investors to replace the investment that former partner Loop Capital would have provided. While the stadium redevelopment has already started, the City is hoping to finalize the initial land sale to Thalhimer in the coming weeks. The mixed-use development is currently slated for a Fall 2025 start.”

5. Leverage to purchase other properties. Stocks do little of these.
