Craving something sweet but don’t want to turn on the oven? Here’s a simple crock pot dessert that’s perfect for warm days (or anytime you want an easy treat!).

**Mini Crock Pot Apple Crisp 🍎**

**Ingredients:**
• 2 apples, peeled & sliced
• 1 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• 2 tbsp oats
• 1 tbsp flour
• Pinch of salt

**Instructions:**
1. Place the sliced apples in the bottom of a small crock pot.
2. In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
3. Cut in the butter until crumbly.
4. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
5. Cook on **LOW for 2½–3 hours** or until apples are soft and topping is golden.

Top with a little whipped cream or vanilla frozen yogurt — the perfect small treat without all the fuss! 😋🍎✨

Maintaining mobility is essential for healthy aging, as it preserves independence, prevents falls, supports physical and mental well-being, and enhances quality of life.

This move can boost ankle mobility, which helps keep you steady on your feet as you walk. It doubles as a stretching and strengthening exercise.

Step 1: Sit tall with your feet on the floor and your palms resting on your thighs.

Step 2: Lift one leg straight out in front of you.

Step 3: Imagine your big toe is a pen. Use your toe to write the alphabet, making the letters as big as you can. Move your foot rather than your whole leg.

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 with your other leg.

Please help us welcome the newest member of the Thomas Family Insurance family — May Aroma!

May is joining TFI as our new Business Outreach Coordinator, where she will be helping local businesses, HR departments, and employees better understand Medicare BEFORE it becomes overwhelming.

Over the years, we have seen how stressful and confusing the transition into Medicare can become for many people. Too often, people wait until the last minute and are flooded with commercials, mail, phone calls, and deadlines before they ever truly understand their options.

Our goal is to change that.

May will be working directly with businesses and organizations to provide no-cost Medicare education for employees approaching Medicare eligibility. This education can help employees better understand their options while also helping employers navigate rising healthcare costs and workforce transitions.

This is never about forcing anyone off a plan. It is simply about education, planning, and helping people make informed decisions that are best for themselves and their families.

As the Medicare world continues changing, Thomas Family Insurance is continuing to grow and adapt as well. With our full family now working together in the business, we are committed to reaching more people, serving more families, and continuing our mission of education first.

Your summer home maintenance checklist should include the following:

Change your air conditioning filter: Change the filter at least every 90 days. If you have allergies, you may even want to change the filter once a month.

Clean vents, air ducts, and exhaust fans: Since air quality degrades during the summer, make sure you start off with clean vents and ducts. Clean ducts also help reduce wear and tear on your AC (including prematurely clogged filters).

Reverse your ceiling fans to move counterclockwise: This creates a downdraft that can make you feel cooler while you’re in the room.

Check the dishwasher, faucets, toilets, and showerheads for leaks: Frozen winter conditions can cause leaks and make your plumbing work harder. Now’s the time to get them fixed.

Vacuum your dryer vent: You can DIY dryer vent cleaning or hire a pro to clean it out, but plan to tackle this task once a year to prevent a house fire.
