Life insurance is often seen as something to set up later in life, once you have a mortgage, a spouse, or kids who rely on you. This perspective can lead young adults to believe life insurance is something they don’t need to consider. But they might be missing out.

Here’s why life insurance might be helpful sooner rather than later.

➡️ First, a younger person might pay less for a policy. While age is only one factor that affects the cost and availability of life insurance (companies also consider health, lifestyle, and the type/amount of insurance purchased), younger individuals usually represent a lower risk compared to older demographics. Policies purchased earlier in life can be much more affordable.

➡️ Second, early marriage and parenthood might feel less stressful. The arrival of major life milestones can bring considerable joy to our lives and bigger responsibilities. Life insurance can help younger adults feel less anxious and more prepared for their future, whatever it entails.

➡️ Third, life insurance may be needed at any time. Many people see life insurance as something designed to pay for far-off expenses, like preparing for a family legacy. But those far-off expenses can unexpectedly become pressing concerns. It’s wise to be prepared.

Setting up a life insurance policy is a painless process. Let's talk if you have questions about how life insurance could benefit your financial strategy (or someone else you care about).

With summer here, your college or university student is probably enjoying some well-earned downtime. That's great — but I want to share something that I believe is more important than any internship or summer job they could land this season.

We are living through one of the fastest technological shifts in modern history. Artificial intelligence isn't a future trend — it's already rewriting how companies hire, promote, and pay. AI tools are being embedded into virtually every industry: finance, healthcare, law, marketing, and engineering. A 2026 study by Goldman Sachs estimates AI could impact 300 million jobs globally. The winners will be the people who know how to use it.1

Ask your child about how much AI is getting incorporated into their coursework. Curriculum cycles can take years to change, so some programs may not be teaching students how to prompt, build, or strategically apply AI tools in real-world settings.

This summer is a rare window of opportunity.

So, encourage your student to find a job, but also to invest in "sharpening the saw" with new AI skills. Free and low-cost resources could give them an edge before their peers even realize one exists.

The students who return to campus in September with a stronger AI game might be playing at a different level.

DID YOU KNOW...Men are statistically less likely to seek preventive care, often lagging behind women in routine checkups?

Men's Health Month raises awareness about preventable health problems and encourages early detection and treatment of diseases like cancer, heart disease, and depression. It aims to bridge the gap in life expectancy by promoting routine preventive care.

Take a moment to remind the men in your life to take care of themselves.

Sometimes finding extra money isn’t about earning more. It’s about understanding where your money is going and making small adjustments that can add up over time.

That could mean reviewing spending habits, cutting back on unused subscriptions, paying closer attention to debt, or finding opportunities to save a little more each month. Even a few extra dollars redirected toward your goals can add up over time.

That’s because one of the biggest financial advantages people often overlook is time. Whether it’s saving for retirement, paying down debt, or building an emergency fund, getting started early can help your money work harder for you over the long run.

Financial progress doesn’t have to happen all at once. Reach out today and ask me how to find your money.
