PLEASE SHARE! Im sharing this this evening just so folks are aware, if you agree with this post or if you don't is fine but it's the truth. Insurance companies are out for themselves and only to make money they aren't for taking care of their customers. Any insurance company that will try and get a shop to put a used radiator or a/c condenser in a vehicle for a collision repair isn't a good insurance company. A used radiator or condenser has contamination and it will combine with your vehicle and could/ will/ possibly cause failure to your transmission or ac system. Why do I post and say this? Because it's the truth and just a little more info your insurance company will try and get you to take it to their preferred shop b/c the preferred shop has a contract with said insurance company. The shop just like the insurance company doesn't care how your vehicle is repaired as long as it is taken care of at that moment. They don't look out for future problems because most people don't know that using a used radiator or ac will and could cause problems with your system. All they care about is saving money and the shop they tell you to take it to could care less because said insurance company is sending them work. Moral of the story is don't listen to your insurance company find a reputable small shop that works for you not the big company if you want your vehicle repaired correctly!
