Are you a pill skipper?
Come on, be honest… have you ever been halfway down the road and suddenly realized, “Oh no — I forgot my pills!”
It happens.
However, taking your medications at the right time, every day really matters. Consistent dosing helps keep the right amount of medicine in your system, which can help prevent complications and keep conditions like high blood pressure under control.
And here’s the part I really want you to remember: don’t let the cost of your prescriptions become a reason to skip them.
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare Part D has a bigger focus on making prescription drugs more affordable. For 2026, there’s a $2,100 annual out-of-pocket cap on covered Part D prescription drugs. Once you reach that limit, you pay $0 for covered Part D drugs for the rest of the year.
As this year winds down, take a minute to check your prescriptions, your costs and your Medicare benefits.Your Medicare benefits are there to be used — so use them! Ask me how! 503-310-4504
