FLORIDA PILOT, 23, MIRACULOUSLY WALKS AWAY AFTER LANDING PLANE IN THE OCEAN
Talk about Faith under pressure!
Faith Tenkley was flying alone from Fort Myers to the Bahamas to pick up her parents when the landing gear malfunctioned and the plane’s right engine failed near Boca Raton.
With a full tank of fuel, Faith feared that attempting a landing at Boca Raton Airport could cause a fire.
Instead, the young pilot calmly navigated around buildings, paddleboarders, swimmers and beachgoers before bringing the plane down in the Atlantic Ocean.
“My primary focus was ensuring the safety of everyone around me,” Faith said.
Stunning video captured the remarkably controlled landing. Faith escaped from the plane, swam toward shore and walked away without suffering any injuries.
Her father, Chad, is also a licensed pilot.
“I’m really proud of her,” he said after reuniting with his daughter.
Faith has held her pilot’s license for four years and is commercially licensed.
God was certainly watching over her! Can we give this brave young pilot a round of applause? 👏
