Profit and Loss Statements
- What it tracks: Money earned vs money spent
- What it tells you: If you had a profitable period or ran at a loss

A profit and loss statement summarizes all the activity recorded in your income and expenses accounts over the specified time. Income typically includes sales while expenses might cover things like payroll, advertising, rent and insurance.

Your P&L statement will include all sales, including credit sales that your customers might not have paid yet. It will also include bills for expenses that you have incurred but not paid.

Pink Lady Bookkeeping Services (PLBS) was established in early 2022. After working for over 15 years in the finance industry, I finally decided to branch out on my own to serve clients with a need for my specialized services. I gained experience in many different areas of finance, such as daily bookkeeping, monthly & quarterly reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and payroll. PLBS caters to solo entrepreneurs and small businesses, and also conducts basic training in QuickBooks, by request.
