In 2023, I faced some of the toughest challenges in my personal life and in my business this year, experiencing loss and obstacles that could have EASILY DESTROYED ME💯
However, it has also been a year of incredible achievements and growth. I have pushed through the pain and adversity, and as a result, I have achieved some significant milestones.
One of the most rewarding moments for me this year was the opportunity to teach my 5-year-old grandson financial literacy. This was something I had never imagined doing, but the experience of imparting valuable knowledge to him filled me with joy, knowing that I am equipping him with tools that will benefit him for his entire life.
Another significant accomplishment was receiving a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy of Business. This was a humbling and prestigious honor that validated the years of dedication of my life's work. Additionally, the financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs I created were accepted into public schools, allowing me to make a tangible impact on the education and future prospects of young people.
I was also honored to have a day declared in my name by the Mayor, acknowledging my contributions to the community. Speaking at colleges and being asked to lead financial literacy workshops at a top Ivy League institution next year further validated the value of my work. Knowing that I have assisted individuals in achieving financial wealth and have paved the way for hundreds of young people to thrive in life has been immensely rewarding. Also, I can't leave out how being honored for my military service in both branches, the Air Force and Army, contributed to my resilience.
Despite the challenges and setbacks I faced this year, I learned the importance of creating boundaries, both with others and with myself. The pain I experienced served as a reminder that nothing in life is guaranteed except for death. It also reinforced my belief in my worth and determination to grow and succeed in all aspects of my being - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and financially.
While this year has tested me in ways I never expected, it has also brought me moments of immense pride and fulfillment.
