Medicare is one of the best places to build a business.

You’re sitting in front of clients, building trust, helping them make important decisions… that’s not easy to do, and if you’re doing it well, you already have a strong foundation.

The next step for a lot of agents right now is simply building on that.

More agents right now are starting to shift into more of a health and wealth approach. Not replacing Medicare, just adding to it.

Because there’s a whole group of people you’re probably not tapping into yet.

The pre-65 market.

That 50–64 group is already thinking about protection, retirement, and planning ahead. If you can meet them there with life and annuities, you’re building the relationship early, before Medicare is even part of the conversation.

Then when they do age in, you’re already their person.

It also gives your business more consistency. You’re not relying on one season or one type of client.

And your conversations start to change. You’re not just talking plans, you’re helping people think through the bigger picture. The key is just having a simple process.

Keep Medicare and financial conversations separate.

Set a follow-up when it makes sense. Don’t overcomplicate it.
