Update: We are safe back in Pasadena. Our school is gone. I have new office buddies now.

I’m at a loss for words. We just moved here, and the love and kindness from the people of Altadena has been absolutely unmatched.

My husband works as a principal at one of the schools in Altadena, (Aveson) and the devastation in their TK-8 schools is unimaginable. My bonus daughter can’t even return to her school because of the impact this has had on the community.

While I feel reassured knowing that many students and staff along the Pasadena/Altadena line are safe, I can’t help but feel anxious for the families who’ve been affected. I also worry that people might exploit this vulnerable time, and it’s a lot to process.

3 years later we are finally planning a wedding.

In the past, getting married felt so stressful. Even though I love a good plan. Whenever I would get to the urge to do anything, some anxiety would take place.

My friend brought me two books and my other friend helped me reframed wedding planning.

Planning it in less than a year. Decided to cut cost in half. The average cost of a wedding is 30k which isn’t bad for some, but i don’t want all.

I want good food 🦀🍤
Good music (fortunately is a band)

And dancing. We are fortunate to live right near the art museum so the pictures will be on point.

This new 5-9 morning routine is overwhelming 🤣 on the one hand I have to admit that I am a early bird 🐦

On the other hand I’m jealous of the sleepers.

It’s all because I had to catch the bus at EARLY as a child.

Trying to a bus as a child was like being in a real-life version of a high-speed action movie!

You had to run like Usain Bolt to make it to the bus stop on time, dodging obstacles like slow-moving seniors.

And if you missed your bus, it was like the world had ended and you were stuck in some kind of kid purgatory, waiting for the next bus to come along. 🤣🤯So yeah, the stress of catching a bus as a child was basically like being in a never-ending game of dodgeball, but with much higher stakes!

But I’m not the only one ☝🏾 it's estimated that around 25 million students take the bus to school each day. This makes the school bus the largest form of mass transportation in the country, even larger than the number of people using public transit systems in some major cities!

So if you are a 5-9er ask yourself is it you or did you have to commute? 😋
