The Rho Theta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was founded on May 22, 1988 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is the 100th chapter established in the Notable North Atlantic Region and serves the Greater Philadelphia community through direct volunteer service and financial contributions. Rho Theta Omega is a graduate chapter with more than 300 members who donate thousands of

volunteer hours to the community each year. The Ivy Legacy Foundation, Rho Theta Omega's charitable arm, has hosted Philly's Men Are Cookin' for 20 years. The event is the area's premier celebration of taste, drawing more than 1,000 Philadelphia-area residents each year to taste delectable treats and financially support the foundation, which contributes to youth scholars and other worthy causes.
