One of the biggest myths floating out there in the credit universe is that in order to qualify for business credit you must personally guarantee it and that your personal credit must be in good standings.

In actuality, you DO NOT need to personally guarantee your business credit. You can have poor personal credit and still qualify for business credit. There are ways in which you can obtain business credit without using your SSN. There are certain things that need to be in place in order to do so:

✅ Must be a business entity that is registered with your state’s Secretary of State’s office
✅ Must have an EIN
✅ Must have a business/commercial address
✅ Must have a business bank account
✅ Should have a business email address, that ends in your business domain and not “gmail.”
✅ Should have a credible website
✅ Should have a business license.

FICO Scores are the end all, be all when it comes to determining a person’s credit worthiness.

VantageScores are NOT viewed by lenders when determining a person’s credit worthiness.

Credit Karma = VantageScore

Lenders ONLY look at FICO Scores.

❌ STOP looking at Credit Karma.

✅ START looking at mySCOREIQ, Experian, MyFICO etc.

What increases your credit score is decreasing your credit utilization rate. So, by making multiple payments during the month on your credit card, you are essentially decreasing the balance owed. Which in turns decreases your credit utilization.

However, the credit card company still reports your multiple payments as one payment. So whether you make five (5) $10 payments during the month or one (1) $50 payment, you’ve still only decreased your balance due by $50 and that it what’s reported to the credit bureaus. Not the fact that you made five (5) payments in one month.
