NOT a political post, but rather a PSA from NoRate.com. Credit card terminals are almost all made in China and increases are going out now from manufacturers as you see in the attached photos. These devices are not exempt in the announcement made for phones, computers and other hardware.

In most cases, for the last 16 years, we have placed credit card terminals for our clients at no cost to them. For any business sitting on the fence about replacing their hardware, they should act in in the next 2 weeks as there may soon be a nationwide shortage on hardware as everyone tries to race ahead of the tariff schedule.

Here is a recent ad from Square. Great company for small-ticket and low volume clients.

However, I'm looking for the fine print in the ad that says that they can hold small business' money for up to 6 months when they see something they don't like. Would you rather have a credit check initially or risk having a cash-flow crisis down the road?

Oh, we also don't do long-term agreements. Our clients stay because they love us, not because they have to.
