About Me: Before beginning my career with State Farm in 2005, I grew up in Gardner, Illinois with two sisters and three brothers. I graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School, and later received my undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University majoring in Risk Management. After receiving my undergrad, I met my wife, Leslie, who also is employed with State Farm, and we now have tw
o wild and crazy children together – one boy and one girl. My State Farm Journey: I started my career at State Farm in 2005, and I wore many hats at first. I was originally involved with State Farm in a corporate role that focused on financial services and marketing, and as I became more invested, I realized that I wanted to become a State Farm Insurance Agent, and in 2013 I launched my first office in Pekin, Illinois. The journey as an agent has been an amazing ride. I’ve met so many amazing people in the Pekin community – residents, business owners, and team members – and I’m excited to share that we now have a second location in Washington, Illinois! Having a second location allows my team and me to provide excellent customer service in a more personalized fashion for more Illinois residents and business owners. Hobbies & Interests: I love all sports, especially our Chicago sports teams, and I played football in my younger years. Much like running a business, football is a sport that requires chemistry from people with different skill sets. For example, an offensive lineman wouldn’t play quarterback, and a quarterback probably isn’t the team’s first option to play offensive line, but by putting the individuals in a position that appropriately suits them, the team is set up for success! This idea is how I run my agency. I also love to travel and explore new restaurants. I’ve traveled to all sorts of places around the country, in the world, and I’m always open to exploring new places. I’m always up for recommendations in this space, so don’t be shy to share where I need to try next. Especially, with a new office opening in Washington, I’ll need some good recommendations to grab some breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Community Involvement: Community involvement is an important reason why being a State Farm Insurance Agent was a great career fit for me. I am a Board Member of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, former President of the Kiwanis Club of Pekin, and I am also a member of the Pekin Main Street. We also are a proud sponsor, or have sponsored, the Pekin Miss Marigold Pageant, various Youth Sports Leagues in Pekin and Bloomington, Boys and Girls Club Teams, Mission Sports Club, Pekin High School Athletics, the Agriculture Club at Pekin High School, and more. Washington Office Location: Our Washington office is located on the corner of Washington Rd and the entrance to the large shopping center that houses At Bat, Connect Church, and A&J Storage and Development near the Washington Water Tower. We’re right next to Advance Auto Parts and across the street from the Hillcrest Country Club. You can’t miss us here either, and we have plenty of parking space available.
