Statement in voter's guide: I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to serve on the Pasco School Board the past 4 years. My wife and I grew up in the Tri-Cities and after attending college, we returned to make Pasco our home. I believe in the power of education as a way to change lives and strengthen our community. Even before serving on the board and having our three-year-old son, I was actively involved in the Pasco School District. While serving on the board, we have had many accomplishments, including opening three new schools, introducing STEM offerings across the district and increasing graduation rates. I have spent much time in Olympia advocating for our district, staff and students. I am passionate about the success of our students. There are still challenges ahead and our work is not done. However, with challenges come opportunities. We have a long history of and commitment to family and community partnerships and it will take all of us working together to seize these opportunities.
