Time to get to know your agent...."Sandralyn what were you like as a child"?
"Here's a picture of me about 5 years old. I loved all farm stuff. I had a little farm pedal tractor, a farm set, farm lunchbox, and my favorite shorts had pigs on them! I remember while my sister chose barbie dolls and giggled at my choice in toys, I preferred setting up my barn and fencing. Lol This was all before I had ever been around anything much farm, but to my surprise my family moved and rented a mini farm in the country across from my grandparent's farm. There were pigs and the farmer who owned them was also an ice cream delivery driver and he fed any of the expired ice cream to the pigs! My sister and I named those pigs and would go out and pet and play with them.Then Dad got some calves and of course they became loved pets as well. I started hanging out more across the road at my grandpa's farm and learned about his chickens and milking cows. I am far from a farmer today but I did live on a farm for many years which included horses and sheep as well but pigs are still my favorite. I do like going out to farms to quote insurance. And I don't mind getting a little dirty. I am going out now to do a farm quote so you will have to catch me later....". Sandralyn

It's time to get to know your agent series!! #14
"Sandralyn what is something most memorable that has happened in the office"?
"Once a customer came in who was lead singer in a band. He told me about his future plans and the type of music he sang and then to my surprise he started singing to me across from my desk. All I could do was blush and smile. Today I believe he is following his dreams and I am so proud!" "Then...this really tugs on my heart... not long ago a sweet young lady came into the office barefoot and in tears and needing to make a phone call. She thanked me and quickly left before I could even ask if she was ok. I couldn't quit thinking about her and wondering if she needed help. Then I saw her sitting on the curb across the street. I ordered lunch for two and walked over. I hope what I said to her were encouraging words followed by a hug. She relaxed a bit and began sharing her story. As I turned to leave she told me her name. I said remember hold your head up, have faith and if you fall get back up and try again." She's one I keep in my prayers.
It's about the people. ❤️

It was hard to track down Sandralyn for our weekly question but we finally did!! #13 "Sandralyn you have lived in Orange County most of your life. What is your favorite thing about the community?"
"The people absolutely are what makes this area so special. All the small towns in our area are unique and wonderful in their own ways. It's hard to say one thing. I love the events, festivals, ballgames, and the way the community pulls together to help those in need. I love attending school events and believe the key to a strong community is to invest time in our youth. I have seen so many new programs evolve which has helped strengthen local resources. A good welcoming place where there is something for everyone is a great place to live, play, and work and where everyone feels welcome is what we have and I am so proud of what our community has". ❤️ Sandralyn

When students want to stop by the Knapp Miller Brown Paoli office on their field trip I say YES please do!! They left with drinks and pinwheels and SMILES. Thanks kids for the hugs!!! Come again!! ❤️

"Sandralyn, do you have any advice for our soon to be 2026 high school graduates"?
"There are so many times I wish I could go back in time and give my 17 year self some advice...Lol. But seriously I would like to say hard work really does pay off whether you are entering the work force or headed to college. I think a good balance is important, meaning don't forget things you like to do and work those those into your schedule to help prevent burn out. Don't forget to be yourself! If you fall, get back up and try again. I always tell students, 'You are a diamond in the rough, and perfect to me as you are, but if you keep setting those goals high you are really going to shine someday!" 🩷

It's your favorite part of the week!! Time to get to know your agent. #11 "Sandralyn, who is your hero or someone you look up to"?
"This one is easy. It's my Dad, always my hero. He had a sweet & gentle spirit, was loving and patient, and never complained in spite all his health obstacles the last few years. He was every nurses favorite. He was a truck driver and drove until he was 79-80 because he loved to. He was the trusted one and he loved hauling the difficult heavy machinery loads that nobody else wanted to touch. He did his job calmly and confidently, and never got nervous. They called him 'The Legend'. Everyone depended on him. He was always there for me and I would come home at times and I would find him out in my yard spraying weeds or mowing, fixing my mower, repairing my door, spray washing my sidewalk, or staining the deck. That's how he was with everyone. Always a helper! I always told him he was my Hero. I will always be proud to call him Dad". 😃
