With the tropical wave currently over southeastern Cuba moving towards the Florida peninsula, a tropical storm is expected to develop this weekend. Earliest impacts for the northeast Florida and southeast Georgia will be on Sunday as it nears our area.

Main threat at this time is expected to be heavy rainfall as current estimates of 4-6 inches over north central Florida counties. With isolated Tornado risks on Sunday/Monday.
