Most people choose a health plan based only on the monthly premium — but that’s not always the true cost of coverage.
When comparing health insurance, it’s important to also look at:
🔹 Deductibles
🔹 Copays & coinsurance
🔹 PPO vs HMO networks
🔹 Out-of-pocket maximums
🔹 Prescription coverage
🔹 Access to doctors & specialists
For example, some PPO plans may have a slightly higher monthly payment but can save thousands over time with lower deductibles and broader doctor access.
On the other hand, a lower-cost plan with a very high deductible could leave someone paying much more when they actually need care.
There’s no “one size fits all” plan — the best option depends on your situation, budget, and how often you use healthcare.
