Going back to school in clothes that feel good can help kids start the year on the right foot. and every year, Sunshine Division makes it possible.

Bringing together the Portland Police Bureau, Fred Meyer, and donors like Columbia Sportswear, the annual "Shop with a Cop" event lets students in need pick out their own clothing and accessories, ensuring confidence and self-expression on the first day of school.

Rivermark has been proud to partner with Sunshine Division for decades as they continually show up for our community in ways big and small.

BIG NEWS for Give More 24!

Rivermark Community Credit Union, a member-owned Oregon & SW Washington credit union and longtime C-Roots partner, is matching every gift to Community Roots Collaborative up to $5,000 on September 24.

This is Rivermark's third major investment in C-Roots. Their Community Fund helped us build our first tiny homes in 2022 and funded the O Street kitchen and communal space in 2023. Now they're doubling every gift on Give Day.

That means when you give, Rivermark gives too. Dollar for dollar.

What does your first day at a credit union look like? For Christina, who might be familiar to members who frequent either our Hawthorne or Tualatin branches, it looked like being a bundle of nerves! But five years later, she's not anxious about it anymore.

We love to help driven, friendly people get their credit union career start so, like many Rivermark employees, she'd never worked at a financial institution before and wasn't sure what to expect. But a warm welcome from both members and coworkers helped her find her way and move up!

Now, Christina helps members with their daily needs and provides a wealth of knowledge to new employees just getting their start. And, as of June of this year, she became a certified Financial Coach through America’s Credit Union’s FiCEP Program!

Thank you, Christina, for taking the leap into a credit union career with Rivermark. We can't wait to see what happens in the next five years.

Our teal tees make us easy to see, but that’s not why you spot Rivermark people out and about in the community.

As employees, we get 24 hours of paid VTO (volunteer time off) each year. We can use this time at any local, accredited nonprofit — and we do!

Some of us use it at our kid’s PTA, others take it to take care of rescue dogs, and others still choose to w**d, paint parks, pick up litter, or shop for local kids around the holidays.
