An Alabama jail officer says he was fired over stolen honey buns and arrested as payback for leaking a video of an inmate's death.

Jarvis Moore, a 24-year veteran of the Morgan County jail, turned himself in on February 13 and faces seven extortion counts. Investigators say he threatened inmates to get their personal property. Moore denies everything.

Moore says jail policy allowed officers to take items from misbehaving inmates and give them to inmates with good behavior. He's diabetic and doesn't even eat honey buns. He believes his arrest was payback for leaking surveillance video of a man who died in jail custody.

Moore says his arrest also came weeks after he endorsed a political opponent for sheriff. He appears in court May 27.

According to lore from the Old Farmer’s Almanac, a groundhog emerges from its burrow on Groundhog Day.
Shadow = six more weeks of winter.
No shadow = early spring.

Our plan:
If this groundhog sees his shadow and retreats back inside, we’re getting a warrant, activating SWAT and making a forced entry.

That rat will be sentenced to six weeks hard time!.
