It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Carlos Vacek.

Carlos was the founder of County Bancshares, the holding company for First State Bank of Texas, and served faithfully for many years as President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board for both the holding company and the bank. His leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment helped shape our organization and the communities we proudly serve today.

More than a respected leader, Carlos was a mentor, a friend, and a true believer in community banking and the people behind it. His legacy will continue to live on through the relationships he built, the values he instilled, and the lasting impact he made on so many lives.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Vacek family and all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

⛳️ It was great day on the course for a great cause!

First State Bank of Texas was proud to sponsor a hole at the 6th Annual Tim Schossow Memorial Golf Tournament held at Sunset Grove Country Club. We always enjoy supporting events that bring our community together especially when they benefit incredible organizations like Friends Helping Friends.

A special thank you to Bret Johns for representing First State Bank of Texas on the course. We appreciate you being part of our team.

Thank you to the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a meaningful event, and to everyone who came out to make the day a success!
