We’re excited to welcome Catherine R. Bishop as our new Senior Vice President of Risk, Compliance & Operations!

Catherine brings an impressive 33 years of experience across the banking, credit union, and financial services industries, with extensive expertise in compliance management, enterprise and payments risk, auditing, and operational leadership.

Most recently, Catherine served as Vice President of Payments Risk & Compliance at Southern Financial Exchange overseeing payment systems, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. She holds several respected industry certifications, including Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), and National Check Professional (NCP).

Beyond her professional experience, Catherine is a longtime community leader who enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

💙 Serving Our Community Through Day of Caring! 🛠️

The employees of First State Bank of Texas were proud to roll up their sleeves and volunteer with Nehemiah's Vision as part of the United Way of Orange County’s Day of Caring!

Our team spent the day helping prepare materials for future ramp projects by pre-cutting and pre-assembling ramp units that will be used to help individuals and families in need. It was a great reminder that sometimes the biggest impact comes from simply being willing to lend a hand.

United Way of Orange County’s Day of Caring brings local businesses, organizations and volunteers together to complete hands-on projects that help nonprofits better serve people in our community. Its mission is to unite people and resources to improve quality of life and build a stronger Orange County.

Nehemiah’s Vision works to restore and rebuild homes for people facing unmet needs, including those affected by natural and other disasters. Their work helps individuals regain not only a safe home, but also quality of life and independence.

We are grateful to United Way of Orange County for bringing our community together and to Nehemiah’s Vision for the opportunity to be part of their important work.
