Easier said then done. The good news? Start improving just one habit to a higher standard until it becomes automatic. Once the brain is trained and the activity does become automatic, the resistance to slack dissipates. Excellence in that one activity becomes substantially easier since it no longer requires as much conscious thought and effort. Then one can move onto the next habit that requires improvement and so on.

Investing is emotional, and timing is key. You need to purchase when the markets are down, the price of the stock is ‘on sale.’ Then, when you go to sell the share at a higher price, you keep the difference – your profit. Sadly, many investors do this backwards. They buy when there is much hype and so the price is inflated. And sell when there is fear, when the share price is low, solidifying a loss.
