Our special 6,600-mile WoodmenLife Flag Tour is continuing its cross-country tribute, presenting commemorative Betsy Ross 250 U.S. flags across the nation.

Over the past week, the tour made stops in Brooksville, KY; Townsend, TN; and Union City, TN.

On Memorial Day, the tour stopped at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend, TN, where WoodmenLife Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Kyle McMahan attended the presentation ceremony. The flag will remain on display there and will be featured at the center’s upcoming “Where Freedom Took Root: Patriots of the Smoky Mountains” event on June 13.

In Brooksville, the city held a special remembrance for Bracken County residents who gave their lives for their country.

In Union City, the flag was presented at Discovery Park of America, a premier museum and heritage park highlighting local history, nature, and science.

We are honoring communities big and small as we head into the final stretch of the tour. Keep following along for more updates as the tour makes its way across the country before wrapping up in Omaha ahead of Flag Day!

Our Flag Day Tour continued its nationwide journey celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with notable stops over the past few days in Wallace, NC; Butler, PA; and St. Augustine, FL.

In Wallace, NC, WoodmenLife Regional Director Spencer Owen presented the Wallace Fire Department with the Betsy Ross 250 U.S. Flag as part of their 100th anniversary celebration and dedication of their new station.

Most recently in St. Augustine, FL, the commemorative flag was presented to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, where WoodmenLife Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Kyle McMahan attended the presentation ceremony.
