Hello all ;). Hope everyone is well and enjoying their spring break. Hopefully didn't get buried in snow after that blizzard!
My apologies for the lengthiness. I work dealing heavily in retirement planning for the baby boomer generation. Focusing on asset preservation and distribution. Specifically areas like Long Term Care Planning and investment advising. If you don't know, nursing homes range between 6k-10k a month, not many can stomach that bill too long.
One area I have been helping my clients is Juvenile Life planning as we often work with our client's children and grandchildren. Most people do not realize the benefits and importance of Juvenile Life and establishing policies as early as possible. I wouldn't know much about it if I wasn't working in the financial services industry. This is what we refer to as the "unrealized need". This is different from a college savings plan (529 or at UTMA account), both are great options though.
By no means am I trying to replace an existing relationship you may have with your advisor or insurance agent. If you already have life policies in place for your children outside of your work coverage, kudos to you! I find passion in informing people of the unrealized needs and showing the benefits of planning for our kids so early.
