I am very excited to showcase our May 2021 Project Achievement Profile.

This month's project is the 400 South & I-15 Pedestrian Underpass in St. George, Utah. This structure under I-15 connects the Dixie State University campus to the student housing and campus buildings on the east side of the freeway. It included installation of 204 feet of arched, three-sided, precast 16′ x 11′ box culvert.

This project was a joint effort between City of St. George, Utah Department of Transportation, and Dixie State University. It was designed by Horrocks Engineers and SPEC Civil Solutions, and installed by American Civil Constructors. The precast sections were provided by MSCPA member Geneva Pipe.

Here's a fun little video that I made for a "Virtual Project Tour" for the Utah Chapter of APWA. This video highlights the precast box culvert under SR-138 in Stansbury Park, which you will remember was our highlighted project in April.

I'm excited to share the April Project Achievement Profile. The SR-138 Pedestrian Underpass in Stansbury Park allows residents to cross under the busy highway and connects a park on the north side of the road to Stansbury Lake on the south side of the road.

This project included the installation of 26 pieces of 12' x 9' precast box culvert. These precast sections were manufactured by Oldcastle Infrastructure and installed by Stapp Construction.
