Walker Tax Relief We Solve Tax Problems. We are experts in tax resolution and help taxpayers with their tax issues

The IRS is a financial juggernaut that doesn’t care about the people behind the financial struggles; they simply want their money. At Walker Tax Relief, we help shield our clients from this overbearing government agency to help them overcome financial hurdles and stressful times with years of hands-on tax experience! Before you call one of the large advertisers claiming to solve your problems for

pennies on the dollar, take the time to talk to your trusted, local expert. You wouldn’t go to court without a lawyer – don’t take on the IRS without expert representation!

Watch out for a scam email that may read, ‘Notification of IRS Audit & Investigation.’ The email may direct you to download a “secure” file (in some cases via sites like Cognito Forms) and submit documentation, but in fact the link leads to a fraudulent site that may steal your data or install malware. Not one without challenges.

Not one without slow seasons.

Not one without tweaks, mistakes, or lessons along the way.

Here are some tax-saving opportunities you might be overlooking:

1. Business travel can be deducted if it’s work-related. This includes flights, hotel stays, 50% of meal costs, conference fees, parking, and tolls.

2. Seasonal marketing efforts such as summer promotions, printed flyers, and participation in local events are all deductible.

3. Client meetups, even if held outdoors at a café or park, can count as a business expense as long as they’re properly documented.

4. Interns, temporary workers, and part-time summer help are deductible through payroll and related support costs.

5. Equipment rentals for events, pop-up shops, or trade shows like booths, tables, and signage also qualify as deductible expenses.

Taking a vacation that includes work? Only the business portion is deductible, so track it carefully.

Remember to save every receipt and log the business purpose clearly.

Ready to earn more and keep more of it at tax time? Let’s talk.

🚫 Learning money habits is too overwhelming, I’ll deal with it later.

You sent the invoice. Followed up. And nothing.
No payment. No communication.

So how do you handle it in your bookkeeping software?

Here’s what to do:

1. Leave the invoice open. Don’t delete it.

2. Add internal notes. Record the follow-up dates, attempts to collect, and any relevant details. This helps if you ever need to reference it or prove your attempts.

3. Create a “Bad Debts” expense account if you don’t already have one.

4. Set up a non-inventory item called “Bad Debts” and link it to that account.

5. Create a credit memo using the “Bad Debts” item. Add your customer’s name, invoice amount, and any relevant info.

6. Confirm the credit memo offsets the invoice. QuickBooks will apply it automatically if there’s only one open invoice, but if there are multiple, you’ll need to manually apply it to the correct one.

This process keeps your income accurate, your records clean, and your peace of mind intact.

CEOs who talk like this grow their business:

✔ “Our profit margin was up 12% last month.”

✔ “We need 4 more clients to hit our Q3 goal.”

✔ “Team costs are up 15%, let’s review where we can streamline.”

✔ “We’re at 80% of our monthly revenue goal, let’s push one more promo.”

They speak the language of numbers. They make decisions based on data, not gut feelings.

And that starts by knowing your numbers.

In business and in life, there will always be things outside your control, client delays, algorithm changes, slow seasons.

But you can control how you show up, how you manage your time, how you track your finances, and how you respond.

Clarity comes when you stop chasing what's out of reach and start owning what’s already in your hands.
