Trump Accounts are officially here, and they affect nearly every family with a child under 18.
Here’s the short version: any child under 18 with a Social Security number can now have a Trump Account opened for them. It works like a Roth IRA for kids, with contributions invested in low cost U.S. stock index funds and growth that’s tax deferred until the funds are withdrawn.
If your child was born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028, the federal government adds a one time $1,000 seed deposit. Families can then contribute up to $5,000 a year on top of that.
I’m hosting three complimentary virtual sessions this month to walk through how these accounts work, who qualifies for the $1,000, the contribution and investment rules, and how a Trump Account fits alongside a 529 plan or your broader financial picture.
Pick the time that works for you:
Wednesday, September 16 at 12:00 PM PT
Tuesday, September 22 at 6:00 PM PT
Thursday, September 24 at 10:00 AM PT
All sessions are virtual, complimentary, and open to any parent or grandparent who wants clarity before making a decision. Link in bio to register.
This session is educational only and is not tax or legal advice.
