Applications are open for the 2027 SCFB Youth Ambassador Scholarship Program! SCFB Youth Ambassadors receive a $2,000 college scholarship and specialized advocacy training preparing them to be influential and effective young leaders. Applicants must be between the ages of 17 - 21 and reside in a Farm Bureau member home to be eligible to compete. Deadline to apply is October 1, 2026. Mark your calendars for the 2027 Young Farmers & Ranchers Conference! Next year's conference will be January 29 - 31, 2027 in Greenville, SC. Registration will open at the end of this month. Take advantage of Early Bird Registration which will be open until October 27, 2026.

SC Farm Bureau’s Palmetto Palate provided tasty treats from talented chefs, as well as chances to talk farming with folks near and far. The silent auction provided more funds for SCFB Conservation Land Trust, too. Well done!

Thank you Springfield Place! We had such fun playing Bingo with some residents, and especially handing out prizes of sweet treats. All ages can enjoy Farm Bureau activities!

The average cost of this year’s summer cookout for 10 people comes in at $73.82—or $7.38 per person. When adjusted for inflation, summer cookout costs have stayed relatively stable recently and remain below the peak of 2022.
