Ghana was more than a trip. It was a return.
Walking through Cape Coast. Standing in spaces where history still breathes. Feeling the weight of what our ancestors endured and the resilience that followed. It was humbling…complex…emotional in ways that words could never truly describe.
But what moved me just as deeply was the present.
I met a woman who runs a business teaching visitors how to prepare a traditional dish over an open fire. No storefront. No investor deck. Just skill, discipline, and determination. She turned necessity into an opportunity to share and preserve culture while generating income on her own terms.
Entrepreneurship at its most human. Community leadership at its purest.
That’s collective economics in action.
That’s making something out of nothing.
That’s resilience alive and thriving.
That afternoon, my friends and I learned to make Red Red, layered with black-eyed peas, tomatoes, onions, spices, and history. We cooked and laughed together. That dish connected us to the story behind the culture.
Travel is a reminder that financial health isn’t just about numbers…it’s access. It’s opportunity. And leadership doesn’t always wear a suit. Sometimes it wears an apron and teaches through cooking.
I came home inspired. Ghana reminded me that wealth is bigger than currency.
It’s community. It’s resilience. It’s ownership.
And in 2026, I’m building something that reflects exactly that. The work continues, stay tuned 🤍
