Are Software Stocks Back? The $6B Deal That Woke Up SaaS

This week it was all eyes on Software stocks and the SaaS-pocalypse narrative. We got earnings from flagship SaaS companies Salesforce ($CRM), Snowflake ($SNOW) and others.

Snowflake’s report ended up rocking the street. The stock jumped 35%, and investors had to re-evaluate the entire sector. IGV closed the up 8% this week.

In this video we break down what Snowflake actually does (it's a database company, despite the corporate jargon), why their new 5-year $6 billion contract with AWS is bigger than it sounds, and how the deal actually improves their margins instead of hurting them. A bit of an insider take here as WSGN Founder, Hugh used to work on deals like this at AWS.

Salesforce also caught a bid late in the week as momentum spread across the sector. The bigger question now is whether agentic AI frameworks and next-gen models will retake the spotlight and continue to threaten the software layer, or whether companies like Snowflake become the foundation those AI tools run on top of.

The AI Lead Just Flipped in the Race to IPO

Anthropic just overtook OpenAI. $65B raised. $965B valuation. Three months ago they were at $350B.

Opus 4.8 shipped today, a modest upgrade over 4.7, which landed to a lukewarm reception just six weeks ago.

The more interesting development is Mythos, the model Anthropic is still holding back while it works with companies to patch vulnerabilities surfaced through Project Glasswing. They say it's a month or two out.

The AI race just got a new frontrunner. Between SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI is going to be an intense second half of the year on Wall Street.

Micron hits $1T. UBS (and Trump) see it going higher. $MU

Micron just joined the trillion dollar club as the 12th US company to do so. UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri tripled his price target to $1,625, Trump publicly backed the company's US production investments, and the stock just keeps going. That said, emory has a history of brutal boom and bust cycles. Is this time different? Breaking down what AI Infrastructure and products like HBM4E, SOCAMM2, and CXL mean for the long-term thesis. Be Good!

SpaceX IPO Drops: Do the numbers even matter? $SPCX

SpaceX has officially filed its S-1 prospectus with the SEC, trading under ticker SPCX on the Nasdaq, targeting a ~$1.75 trillion valuation and looking to raise ~$75 billion. That would make it the largest IPO in history.

But the financials raise questions: $37B in accumulated deficit through 2025, $4.27B net loss in Q1 2026, and revenue growth that lags peers like Nvidia. The bull case is the Space Economy itself, think Starlink, orbital data centers, asteroid mining, even consumer space travel.

Does any of it matter when Musk stocks defy gravity? Roadshow expected to start June 4, pricing June 11, trading June 12.
