The Medina Police Department is a 12 person Department consisting of a Chief, Lieutenant, 2 Sergeants, and 8 Patrolman. We serve the roughly 6500 residents of the Village of Medina and provide mutual aid to surrounding Departments when requested. The K-9 program went into service in September of 2012 and was only made possible by the financial support of local businesses and residents. Phoenix is

a dual purpose K-9 who works whenever his partner/handler Ofc. They are certified as a K-9 team for Patrol/tracking and Narcotics Detection. Phoenix is a Belgian Malinois who was bred in the USA, born on Sept. 1, 2019. Phoenix was born and bred for Police services, and will be an asset to the Medina PD for years to come.
