Hurricane Melissa, a powerful Category 5 storm, has devastated Jamaica, destroying homes, displacing families, and leaving entire communities struggling to recover. As the country begins to rebuild, local organizations are working tirelessly to provide shelter, food, and essential supplies. One of those trusted partners is the Lasco Chin Foundation, which is coordinating relief efforts and supporting those most affected.

Moore Philanthropy stands in solidarity with Jamaica and urges all who can to take action. Your support can help deliver emergency food to families facing hunger and displacement, provide care packs with hygiene essentials for women and children, and supply restart packages for small shops and cook shops so local entrepreneurs can rebuild their livelihoods and restore access to meals and goods across Jamaica.

Every contribution moves quickly through trusted, on-the-ground partners who understand what their communities need most. Donate or get involved today.

TOGETHER, LET’S REBUILD. RESTORE. RISE. Hurricane Melissa, one of the most powerful Atlantic storms ever recorded, slammed into Jamaica as a Category 5 hurricane, leaving a trail of destruction that will take months, even years, to heal. Our Story

We believe that sustainable impact comes from understanding and working in connection and collaboration with the communities directly impacted by some of the world’s most intractable problems. We also understand that today’s challenges require a flexibility on the part of the donor to find solutions that work in various environments.

We work closely with donors to identify issues that resonate most deeply with their personal values and ethos, helping them identify specific goals and a giving strategy which they can commit to for the long-term to achieve the most lasting and sustainable change.

Private philanthropy has the ability to take more measured and calculated risks where others cannot. We help donors maximize their giving to help contribute to solutions in local communities and across the globe.
