According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women ages 16-24 earned 91.1% as much as men, while women age 55+ earned just 78.5% as much. This gap can affect how much women are able to save, invest, and carry into retirement. But these statistics do not define any one woman’s financial future!
Knowing your worth, advocating for your compensation, and staying actively involved in your finances can help build greater choice and security over time.
This Women’s Equality Day, we celebrate progress while recognizing the work still ahead. Financial equality should be part of the conversation.
