✈️ This trip taught me something I didn’t know I was missing… MYSELF.
As a Founder/ Entrepreneur and the “responsible relative” life can be a lot of work and the load gets heavy.
So…there’s something sacred about being alone in a place where no one knows your name. As someone who naturally enjoys solitude, I’ll admit… the idea of being alone in another country was a little nerve-wracking. But the more I travel solo, the more I’m learning how to be my own comfort, my own company, my own calm.
Between the pools, the workouts, the quiet meals, and the pages of my book (SB: Steve Madden’s story is so inspiring 👏🏽), I’ve learned that solitude isn’t lonely — it’s liberating. Fear is an emotion I create, just like joy and security. I’m learning to train my mind to stay alert yet calm.
This trip was about more than palm trees and passports. It was about releasing control, resetting my energy, and reconnecting with God in the stillness. I needed time to sit with God and myself… this was a conference call long overdue! 📞🙏🏽 I asked Him to reveal the next part of the game plan because this season feels both exciting and a little scary (pray for me yall)… and I need Him nearer than ever.
I’m also beyond thankful to God for positioning me to book trips the same day 😭 and for MY MANNNNNNNN — a real one. An understanding man. A provider. 🥹 The one who lets me process, grow, and never complains when I need a moment.
And one thing about me — whenever I travel, I position myself to win. My hotel or Airbnb must have a pool (water keeps me balanced 🌊) and a gym because staying on top of my goals is non-negotiable.
Just remember — when you travel solo, you don’t just explore new places… you explore YOU.
🏝️ Here’s to soft mornings, bold moves, and remembering that peace is the real passport stamp.
