What is most worrisome for us as Palestinian bloggers who gathered from different walks of life to start Teshren is that our people, our land and our future are being strangulated, confiscated and threatened in a systemic and gradual process that goes unabated while internal debates between leaders of political parties dominate media coverage making Palestinians and people interested in the cause vulnerable to getting immersed in these trivial talks and to some extent missing the big picture of institutionalized oppression and apartheid occupation. Our English version of the blog is meant to aid you in formulating answers for these questions. The Palestinian youth will be feeding Teshren; one blog where they can speak up and exchange thoughts about life in Palestine and by that we mean the culture, the heritage, the struggle, the concerns and the untold stories of a people under occupation as perceived by the enthusiastic, creative, dedicated and passionate youth. In light of the mounting disinformation surrounding the situation on the Palestinian ground, it has become a compulsory responsibility to reflect through blogging the reality of our day-to-day lives given the failure of both the Arab and Western media in doing so in a satisfactory manner and course. Our loyalty to Palestine, our passion to preserve our Palestinian identity, and our energy to take part in developing our community pose as the ultimate motivation for us to create this blog. As we believe we have the potential to avert the worse of the conflict we were born into, we waste no time in trying to categorize the other. Instead, we work together in a friendly and intellectual atmosphere for the sake of mutual understanding and solidarity. The idea of Teshren was born long before the fever of revolutions struck the Arab world. It has been clear for long that Palestinian youth has much to say and more to revolt against and it is Teshren that will bring you more focus on the incentives, controversy and obstacles that go along the walk of Palestinian youth for liberation and against all forms of injustice.
