Another great year at IML!

Last week, Roth&Co was back in Chicago for the Illinois Municipal League’s 113th Annual Conference, marking our third year attending!

Aaron Donnelly, Darlene Dizon, Syndelle Manuel, and Zehava Reischer represented Roth&Co, joining more than 2,000 local officials at one of Illinois’ largest municipal events.

Over the course of the conference, our team had the chance to catch up with longtime clients, meet new people, and have some great conversations with professionals from across the government sector.

One of our favorite parts of attending IML each year is getting to connect face-to-face with the people and communities we work with throughout Illinois.

Thank you to the Illinois Municipal League for another great conference. We loved being back and look forward to doing it again next year!

Giving back in Chicago!

Last Friday, our Roth&Co Chicago team participated in the Illinois CPA Society’s annual CPA Day of Service, volunteering with Feed My Starving Children.

Together, our team packed 190 boxes of meals to help provide food for children in need.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to step away from our desks, work together, and give back to the community. Thank you to the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and Feed My Starving Children for organizing such a meaningful day!

Ending the summer with a home run!

Roth&Co was back once again at the Upward Softball Tournament in Chicago, and this year brought out 1,000+ people for a full day of softball, family fun, and some serious competition.

We sponsored the Recovery Tent, where players (and everyone else!) could take a break and recharge with massages, IV drips, smoothies, food, and swag for both kids and adults alike.

But the best part of the day is the reason behind it. Upward supports the mental health and well-being of children and young adults in the Chicago community, and we’re proud to be part of an event that brings so many people together for such an important cause.

Congrats to the winning team, Exacare.ai and to everyone who hit the field and made it such a great day!

Roth Day around the world was epic this year! A day of football, rock climbing, Krav Maga and boating on the open waters.

There were touchdowns, victories, challenges conquered, peaks reached but most of all it was a day of friendship!

For the third year in a row, SMS partnered with the NYSED Office of Child Nutrition Programs to bring food service professionals together for a full day of learning and discussion.

This year was our best one yet, with more than 60 food service directors, managers, and professionals from across New York joining us to discuss the real, day-to-day challenges of running a successful child nutrition program.

From Meal Patterns and Offer vs. Serve to Procurement, CEP, Administrative Reviews, Resource Management, and more, the day was packed with practical guidance and important updates.

A big thank you to the New York State Education Department, School Management Solutions, Chaya Perlstein, Yehoshua Pinkus, and Jennifer Knapp for helping make this event possible, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a valuable day. We’re already looking forward to our next Administrative Reviews Training in October!

The Chicago team reached new heights at this year's Roth Day!

The day was filled with rock climbing, team challenges, a little friendly competition, and lots of encouragement (and laughs) along the way. Everyone took a break for a BBQ lunch before heading back to the walls, and the day wrapped up with awards for the top climbers.

As John Karlo Reazo put it, "It was a great opportunity to step outside our comfort zones, have fun together, and strengthen our team."

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a great day. It's always nice to step away from the office, spend time together, and make some great memories as a team.
