APRIL IS FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH. And what better way to recognize it than to give you (3 HELPFUL TIPS FOR COMING OUT OF THE PANDEMIC...

1.) Repay 2020 Debt: Credit bureaus aren’t giving out free passes for 2020. If you stopped paying bills due to job loss or illness, try your best to start again. Set up a budget to start paying down some of that debt, 35% of your credit score is made up of debt!

2.) Rebuild credit: If your credit score took a hit in 2020, now is the time to get it back up. Start by reporting your rent (likely your biggest monthly expense) to credit the bureaus. Pay down credit card debt. If you don’t have a credit card or don’t qualify for one, get a secured card to start building again.

3.) Leverage Money: If you were fortunate enough to work during the pandemic, you likely have racked up some savings from stay at home orders. Don’t spend it! Instead, try leveraging your money; put it into a C.D., buy stocks, buy crypto, invest it, or, buy a home! Interest rates on homes are at an all time LOW right now.
