Investment Relations 2.0 : The Dynamic Of Corporate Democratization Creates the Need For a Global Investor Network And a Social Media for Publicly Listed Companies
Traditionally, a company’s investor relation department provides corporate financial information on their homepage and via news- release distributors like Business Wire, Marketwired and PR Newswire, aiming to reach all shareholders and thus fulfill their disclosure obligation, which require full and fair simultaneous disclosure of information. Reaching investors over social media would benefit companies and shareholders, however there is not the “one standard” investor platform to find, which leads to fragmented information channeling. Communicating via different social media channels in a networked, global and digital world has to be manually updated to reach all relevant audience. As a consequence, the process of maintaining and communicating to shareholders worldwide with a one voice policy is cumbersome and time-consuming. StakeholderClub was founded to fill this void via our StakeholderClub App for shareholders to stay connected with the market and their investments. Publicly listed companies/ NGOs and others use our platform to reach their target audience and, in the process, improve their visibility.
