Chevrolet’s Electric Pickup Goes Farther Than Ford

Chevrolet’s first battery electric truck will have a greater range than anticipated when it goes on sale later this year.

According to Rory Harvey, who will be taking over as president of North America for General Motors, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV work truck aimed at fleet buyers will boast an EPA-estimated 450-mile range on a full charge. That’s significantly greater than the normal range of battery electric full-size pickups.

“We previously announced that it was going to be a 400-mile target, so the team did just an exceptional job in terms of being able to extend that up to 450 miles,” Harvey said, according to Automotive News. “We believe that gives us a competitive advantage.”

The New Green IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar

The Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba Auto Now In Green

Hamilton has a solid reputation for its military-inspired watches covering land, air and sea. As a purveyor of accurate, robust watches to the American military since 1914, Hamilton’s timepieces have seen their fair share of action. The Navy was one of Hamilton’s biggest customers relying on the brand’s marine chronometers and later supplying water-resistant watches to American frogmen deployed in combat demolition units during WWII. The robust, water-resistant models, including the Scuba Auto, are housed in the brand’s Khaki Navy collection. Beefed up in 2021 with a larger 300m water-resistant case, the Scuba Auto was fitted with a ceramic insert on the bezel and a gradient dial. For 2023, Hamilton introduces a new 43mm Scuba Auto with a gradient green dial.

The Otto Fuchs Inspired Union Glashütte Noramis Date L.E. Deutschland Klassik 2023

It’s not often a single part of a car gains a legendary status in the community of petrolheads. From the top of my mind, the horizontal slats on the Ferrari Testarossa, the split rear window on the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette or Rolls Royce’s Spirit of Ex**cy comes to mind. But plenty of others of course have cemented their place in automotive history. One such icon is the Otto Fuchs wheel, mostly associated with classic Porsche cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. It even has its own Wikipedia page! The wheel design is so well-respected that it inspired several watches, with Union Glashütte presenting the latest take with its new Noramis Date Limited Edition Deutschland Klassik 2023.

2024 Audi A5 Sportback Drops Camo

Audi is continuing work on the upcoming 2024 A5 Sportback, and ahead of an expected debut later this year, our spy photographers have captured another prototype of the car testing out on public roads.

Audi will be merging the A4 and A5 into a single model for this next generation. The A4 name will be dropped altogether, with the A5 Sportback taking the role of both cars. This comes as part of a larger plan to have ICE vehicles designated as odd-numbered models, while their EVs will occupy even numbers to avoid confusion.

2024 Mini John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition celebrates the manual transmission

Mini has rolled out a special version of its two-door John Cooper Works hatchback that celebrates the manual transmission.

It's called the 2024 Mini John Cooper Works 1to6 Edition, and just 999 examples are planned for sale across Europe and North America. Sales start in September, and Mini hasn't said how many are earmarked for the U.S.

The vehicle stands out with its black exterior accents replacing the standard chrome, and a unique central stripe made up of tiny H-pattern shift logos common to manual transmissions.

The pattern is also found on the side sills. A “1to6” script is also found throughout the cabin as a nod to the six forward gears of the manual transmission, and the designers have also fitted stainless steel pedals. The standard wheels are an 18-inch set in Mini's Circuit Spoke design.

Pagani Is Bringing These Two Ultra-Rare Cars To Villa d'Este

The first is the Huayra Coadlunga, one of the latest creations from Pagani, and one of only five cars allotted by Pagani Grandi Complicazioni. This specific example is in Bronzo Aymara with an exposed carbon fiber finish, and the interior pairs vintage-effect leather with luxurious Loro Piana fabric. The other car is even rarer: it’s the one-off Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta Revo. It combines the beauty and traditional inspiration of the Zonda HP Barchetta with the ferocious performance of the Zonda Revolución. Both of these cars are soon to be proudly displayed in a beautiful historic location with a remarkable backdrop of Italy’s Lake Como behind, and the combination of that location and some of the world’s greatest-ever cars, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is one of the greatest automotive events ever.

Currently, Mercedes-Benz is busy putting the final touches on the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT. You may have seen images and videos of the prototypes before, but as we get closer to the launch, test mules have started losing some of their camouflage.

Reports suggest that the flagship variant of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT will be the hybrid-powered S E Performance. It is likely to get a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine paired with an electric motor. With a combined output of 831 hp and a mind-boggling 1,033 lb-ft of torque, it will be a force to be reckoned with.

Le Rhöne was founded 10 years ago by Loïc Florentin and Timo Rajakoski. The independent watchmaking brand has released a double retrograde perpetual calendar tourbillon to celebrate this anniversary. Its movement is the result of an original joint engineering project that brought together two of the best high-end movement specialists, Agenhor and Le Cercle des Horlogers. Renowned watch designer Eric Giroud was solicited for the looks of the model.

MeisterSinger Strikes Again With The Bell Hora Enamel

By now you should be very familiar with MeisterSinger’s signature style of indicating the time with just one hand. It has been part of the brand’s more relaxed approach to the passage of time since its launch in 2001. Although that might limit you in terms of how much you can display, MeisterSinger has brilliantly played around with the concept in various styles, colours and materials. One thing the brand is very good at is keeping it fresh, by continuously looking for new ways to adapt and combine the concept with added complexity, such as calendar indications or a very large moonphase for instance. TAG Heuer Adds Green And Rubber To Its Carrera Chronograph 44mm

Released in 2020, the Carrera Chronograph 44mm marked the revamp of the collection, which now comprises various models ranging from classic to vintage-inspired, and sporty with this larger model. Equipped with the in-house Heuer 02 movement, it will form next to the sleeker 42mm the cornerstone of the modern Carrera line. When first presented by TAG Heuer, 4 editions were at the heart of this sub-collection, which included black and blue versions with matching ceramic bezels, as well as a green version, yet with steel bezel. But it’s now been replaced by a new version, that not only brings a green ceramic bezel but also a new rubber strap, unseen yet on other models.
