This Saturday, April 25 is one of the two annual designated "Drug Take Back Days," a great time to safely get rid of unused medications at no charge.
The Warren County Sheriff's Office in Queensbury, at 1400 Route 9, is among the locations that will be accepting unwanted and unused medications for safe disposal. Just outside our county the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Ticonderoga Police Department and Saratoga County Sheriff's Office are taking part as well.
Keeping them around can result in them getting into the wrong hands, and flushing them down the toilet or throwing them in the trash is not environmentally friendly. Go to https://www.deatakeback.com for more information.
The Sheriff's Office is also a drop-off location for unwanted and unused medications year-round, with a drop box located in the station lobby that can be accessed day and night. So if you can't make it to the station April 25, you have options at other times.
