Wow! What a year being awarded two prestigious awards in 2023. On Dec. 5, I was thrilled to be awarded the JEDCO's HEART Award: Each year, JEDCO selects a recipient who has been instrumental in the retention and expansion of jobs and businesses within Jefferson Parish to receive the prestigious Hub for Expansion, Attraction, Retention, and Talent (HEART) Award. Working with Jerry Bologna and his professional team at JEDCO is an absolute pleasure, and I am proud of the projects we have accomplished together. I will display this award as a reminder of our collaboration and my commitment to do more in 2024.

I enjoyed teaching the two boot camps that offered tips for writing a culinary business plan and create a culinary business pitch. It was a pleasure working with the students in class and one-on-one on their cash flow projections, business plans and developing their pitches.

I was happy to be a part of the knowledgeable panel. Several serious entrepreneurs attended this event from different age groups. After this event, many stayed to ask more questions for their businesses. I love it when small businesses participant and seek answers to their questions at our events. It was informative for all.

We kicked off Global Entrepreneur Week with a Lunch & Learn at Nicholls Culinary Institute. Thank you Coastal Commerce Bank, Root 2 Rise, and South Central Planning for your contribution!
