Are You Turning 65 Soon? Or Know Someone Who Is?

Navigating Medicare can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! As a licensed Medicare specialist, I’m here to help make the process easy and stress-free.

If you’re approaching your 65th birthday, it’s important to know:
✅ You have a 7-month window to enroll in Medicare, which includes:
• 3 months before your birth month
• Your birth month
• 3 months after your birth month

✅ Enrolling on time can help you avoid late penalties and ensure you have the coverage you need.

Whether it’s you, a family member, or a friend, I’d love to help you understand your options and find a plan that fits your needs and budget.

📞 Message me today to schedule a no cost consultation! Let’s make sure you’re set up for success with Medicare.

Hey Western PA friends, if you’re out driving in this snowy weather, make sure you’re prepared just in case you get stuck! It’s always smart to have some blankets, extra gloves, hats, and even hand warmers in the car to stay warm. An ice scraper, snow brush, a small shovel, and something like sand or cat litter can help you out if you’re stuck on ice. Don’t forget some basics like jumper cables, a flashlight with batteries, and a first aid kit. Pack a few snacks, some bottled water (just don’t let it freeze), and a phone charger so you can stay connected. Little things like a multi-tool, duct tape, and extra windshield washer fluid can also come in handy. If you do get stuck, remember to stay with your car, keep the exhaust pipe clear of snow, and only run the engine every so often to save fuel. Stay safe out there, and take it slow on those roads!

🎉 Happy New Year! 🎉
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas filled with joy, family, and great memories. As we kick off 2025, it’s the perfect time to check in on your Medicare coverage during OEP (Open Enrollment Period)!

You might be wondering: What’s the difference between AEP and OEP?
• AEP (Annual Enrollment Period): Runs from October 15 to December 7 each year. This is when you can make major changes to your Medicare plan, like switching from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan, changing your Medicare Advantage plan, or enrolling in or changing your Part D prescription drug plan.
• OEP (Open Enrollment Period): Runs from January 1 to March 31. During OEP, if you’re already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, you have a chance to:
• Switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan.
• Drop your Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare (with the option to add a Part D prescription drug plan).

This is a great opportunity to ensure your coverage fits your needs for the year ahead.

If you have questions about your options or need help making a change, don’t hesitate to reach out! Wishing you all a fantastic start to the new year. Let’s make 2025 your healthiest and happiest year yet!

Turning 65 soon? Here are 3 important Medicare facts to help you prepare—let me guide you through this milestone!

Eligibility for Medicare: Most people become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65. If you're already receiving Social Security benefits, you’ll be automatically enrolled in Medicare Parts A (hospital insurance) and B (medical insurance).

Enrollment Period: You have a 7-month Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) to sign up for Medicare. This begins 3 months before your 65th birthday month, includes your birthday month, and extends 3 months after. Missing this window can result in penalties unless you have qualifying coverage elsewhere.

Premium-Free Part A: If you or your spouse have worked and paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years, you may qualify for premium-free Medicare Part A. Part B, however, typically requires a monthly premium.

"Happy Saturday! Did you know that Medicare has four parts: Part A (hospital insurance), Part B (medical insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage), and Part D (prescription drug coverage)? It’s like a puzzle, but when it all comes together, it helps make healthcare more accessible! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! "
