EVERYBODY SAYS VA LOANS “FALL APART.” THE ACTUAL DATA SAYS THE EXACT OPPOSITE.

According to 2025 HMDA data pulled from more than 369,000 mortgage applications -

VA Loan Denial Rates:
• VA: 8.2%
• USDA: 12.5%
• FHA: 12.8%
• Conventional: 15.0%

Read that again: VA loans had the LOWEST denial rate of all major loan types.

Yet somehow the industry narrative still sounds like:
“VA loans are risky.”
“VA buyers can’t close.”
“Conventional is stronger.”

The truth:
• VA borrowers statistically perform better
• VA buyers often represent LOWER risk
• Listing agents are still being taught old myths
• Veterans are losing opportunities because professionals keep repeating bad information

The problem isn’t the VA loan. The problem is professionals repeating bad information.
