Thank you to all of the advocates and partners who helped make this happen!

Today New Yorkers have a lot to celebrate! They will get a fair shot at a family!

Thanks to NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and the state legislature, they have agreed to include significant IVF and fertility preservation measures in this year’s state budget. The budget requires large group health insurance plans statewide to cover in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and requires all commercial insurance plans to cover medically necessary fertility preservation treatments.

We want to thank our passionate network of grassroot advocates, physicians, and a strong coalition of non-profits and pharmaceutical partners who have been working on increasing access to treatments and for years. Your hard work has paid off for New Yorkers.

Rest assured, that our work is far from done.

The Coalition is looking for New Yorkers who are dealing with infertility, who work for small/medium size employers (100 employers or less) and get their healthcare from their employer and do not have access to a plan that covers IVF. We are looking for any patients (men or women) who fit this description who would be willing to share their stories on camera and who also might be interested in being part of an op-ed asking the NY legislature to pass FAFTA for everyone. Right now the Governor's proposal excludes those New Yorkers who work for small/medium companies. If interested please email Rebecca Flick, [email protected]. Please include your name, email address, cell phone number, and any details about your current insurance situation or inability to pursue IVF because of cost.
